Modalities Used
Exposure-Response Prevention (EXRP_
Exposure and response prevention is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy designed to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related anxiety disorders. EXRP focuses on helping individuals confront their fears and obsessions in a controlled and gradual manner while preventing the compulsions typically used to reduce anxiety.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a specialized, evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals manage intense emotions and improve interpersonal relationships. DBT is effective in treating mood disorders, self-harm, substance abuse disorders, and more. DBT combines cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices focusing on emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for a wide variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. CBT focuses on identifying and changing unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional stress.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is an evidence-based treatment for young children with behavioral problems or anxiety. This form of therapy is conducted through “coaching” sessions in which you and your child are in a playroom while the therapist is in an observation room. Parents learn effective discipline techniques and communication skills to foster a positive and nurturing environment. They also learn how to help their children bravely face fears.
