Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Parent-child interaction therapy is an evidence-based treatment for young children with behavioral problems or anxiety. This form of therapy is conducted through “coaching” sessions in which you and your child are in a playroom while the therapist is in an observation room. Parents learn effective discipline techniques and communication skills to foster a positive and nurturing environment. They also learn how to help their children bravely face fears.
